Painters Plus owner Jesse Gooch created Project HOPE (Helping Others Paint Exteriors) in 2011 as a citywide campaign to help people and families in need make exterior beautifications.

For the past 10 years, Gooch and his team have painted the exteriors of homes in North Tonawanda for the elderly, cancer patients, the terminally ill, Vietnam veterans and World War II veterans. To date, Painters Plus has donated over $95,000 in free painting work to those in need of Project HOPE

In partnership with the office of Mayor Austin Tylec, Painters Plus is accepting applicants through August 8th. Applications can be picked up at City Hall or the Painters Plus office at 800 Walck Road.

Tylec said: “This is a great opportunity for any homeowner who cannot afford to paint their home and a way for Mr Gooch and his team to give back to the community. I’m excited to have this program back for North Tonawanda.”

The winner will be announced on August 15th and the quest will take place on August 27th at 9:00 am. The paint will be donated by Sherwin Williams, while lunch for the volunteers will be provided by a local pizzeria.
