The advance sale continues 18.8 and the official collection will go live September 8, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
A deconstructive pop artist, Gondek uses his punk rock spirit and playful tone to showcase various iconic cartoon and comic book idols that often explode, melt or fall apart to celebrate rebellion and destruction. Gondek’s Fight Club NFTs bring to life his iconic compositions of custom-painted baseball bats. The NFT Collection consists of 280 tokens which are images of physical 1 of 1 custom painted baseball bats.
Five NFTs will be sold as a special pre-sale promotion. These pre-sale items are the only way for collectors to keep the NFT and receive both physical redemption items – a signed, hand-decorated print of their NFT and the physical bat featured in their NFT. These items will be available in an auction format with a reserve price of $2,000.
The Main Collection NFTs are released as a Mystery Box purchase with a fixed price of $1,500 where collectors must choose between two mutually exclusive physical usage options:
- Submit the NFT to a Burn Wallet and receive the corresponding handcrafted physical club
- Hold the NFT and receive a hand embellished print signed by Matt Gondek
To celebrate this launch and presale, MakersPlace, Matt Gondek and the Taglialatella Gallery will co-host an inaugural event to showcase its iconic collection. The party is on August 18, 2022 in the Taglialatella Gallery in NYC out 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET. guests can meet Matt Gondek and experience his deconstructed images in person. The gallery will host a week-long exhibition following the opening event. Interested collectors can view the five pre-sale NFTs and their corresponding physical bats that will be auctioned at the event, 20 special collectible bats that will be sold privately by the gallery, and an infinite object wall displaying a variety of NFTs from the collection . The exhibition expires Friday, 08/19 through Friday, 08/26.
