Art on the Hill returns to Mantua


Mantua – Downtown Mantua Revitalization Corporation (DMRC) is pleased to announce the return of its popular, award-winning arts and crafts exhibition, Art on the Hill, on Saturday, July 10th from 10am to 6pm on East Prospect Street in Mantua. announce village.
“We’re really looking forward to the excitement and energy of having events in town again,” said DMRC President Edie Benner. “And of course the chance for the craftsmen to exhibit their works and the wineries to present their wonderful wines!” Benner stated that Terri Vechery, Christine Pitsinger and the entire committee are working to ensure the safety of the event in accordance with the current CDC guidelines to guarantee. Vechery explained that additional distances were planned between the providers to protect our visitors this year. She added, “Despite all the lockdowns during COVID-19, our little village has been revived! The festival visitors will be enthusiastic about our company! “

According to its successful formula, the arts and crafts event will include artisans, merchants and groceries. Of course, wineries will also play a role. Art on the Hill and Wine Tasting Headquarters will be located in a tent on First Street, where wine and art auction tickets will be available for purchase.

On the porch of the granary, entertainment is planned with all-day performances. A children’s tent has also been added this year, which has something for everyone at Art on the Hill. The art auction will again give visitors the opportunity to bid on items with purchased tickets.

And if you’ve taken great pictures with your camera or cell phone, why not take them in the photo contest? While the competition is open to photos of all genres, photos of Mantua can be selected as part of the DMRC 2022 calendar. The photo competition takes place in the Five Five Media Studio in the Granary Building.


Vechery noted that vendor applications continue to come in on a daily basis, leading the DMRC to expect “a great festival with lots of food, great wine and entertainment – and amazing art.” She noted that in addition to wonderful art, delicious food, good wine and entertainment, the event will again feature a photo contest open to everyone, an arts and crafts auction, a 50/50 raffle and lots of entertainment. The event is the DMRC’s largest fundraising campaign, made possible by generous sponsors and volunteers.
Vechery marveled, “This year feels like an exciting year for Art on the Hill!” Both Benner and Vechery encourage locals and nearby people to spend July 10th in Mantua to partake in the excitement.
