The well-known artist Dharminder Sharma opened an exhibition of his works of art, which consists of miniatures and paintings, in the art gallery on Saturday. The artist, who works to promote abstract modern art through various media, has tried to fuse abstract with miniature paintings.

Over 40 works were exhibited, including 25 miniatures. Sharma says the miniatures are usually traditionally made with royal themes and motifs using conventional motifs. “I tried to bring abstract elements into miniature images by using individual motifs like a helicopter or a balloon and using colorful compositions. This particular art style is stuck within regional boundaries, but I want to revive it in the city’s art fraternity, ”he said.
Aside from miniatures, other paintings by Sharma are in acrylic, his strength, and have different themes. Sharma experiments with media and has also worked with spray paints and street art genres. He said the contemporary art context needs to be viewed differently, with more room for experimentation.
“With the popularity of the street art form around the world and the introduction of contemporary techniques, the use of tools that do not require traditional canvases will arouse more curiosity among art patrons and art students,” he said. In the meantime, this exhibition will last until November 10th.
