Enjoy summer marathons in drawing, painting and sculpting at New York Studio School

New York Studio School Marathon Explore drawing, painting, and sculpture as direct methods for understanding one’s experience in the world. The participants experience a wide spectrum of activating strategies of making art first-hand, paired with the intellectual rigor of comprehensive group and individual critiques. The innovation and depth inherent in these 10-day programs expand participants’ engagement with the materials of their choice and lead to creative opportunities that extend well beyond the completion of each program. Classes are open to artists of all levels and are taught in person or online daily from 9am to 6pm ET.

Virtual marathons are an incredible opportunity for artists from around the world to experience the high-profile NYSS marathons from their respective homes and studios. Delivered in real-time via Zoom and Padlet, these classes bring participants the rigorous practices, deep insights, and deep connections of in-person marathons via virtual means.
