JIFLA establishes Young Professional Advisory Council

Jewish Interest Free Loan of Atlanta plans to establish a Young Professional Advisory Council this month composed of Jewish leaders and lawyers from across metropolitan Atlanta who are committed to the Tzedakah Jewish values, advocacy and community support . The council will help JIFLA connect with young professionals across the city and advise on programs, resources and advocacy ideas to help people learn more about JIFLA and ensure those in need receive the appropriate financial assistance .

JIFLA helps other Jews maintain financial stability during troubled times by providing interest-free loans to those in need. These loans – funded entirely by community donations that are continually passed on to others – help applicants ease financial burdens like medical bills, car repairs, tax burdens, fertility treatments, and even Israel Gap Year programs.

As a result of COVID-19, JIFLA has doubled its loan applications from community members in financial crises. In response, JIFLA quickly developed a unique COVID Financial Impact Loan to address financial challenges related to the pandemic and loss of income.
