PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WMBB) – “Every Canvas Counts” at Palmetto Paint in Panama City.
The nonprofit company uses its proceeds to support other local nonprofits and charities. This week they celebrate five years of making a difference in the community.
Company co-founders Alex Butler and JD Justice said they started the company to help local veterans. Now they have more than 25 partnerships with other non-profit and charitable organizations in Bay County.
They raised nearly $20,000 for these organizations.
Butler said they look forward to seeing what’s to come over the next five years.
“We’re always looking for growth,” said Butler. “We are always looking for other non-profit organizations that can help us. We’re always trying to put more money in the hands of others because all you have to do is show up, paint for two hours and you know you can leave with money for your organization.”
Painting classes and fundraisers range from $25 to $35.
Butler said they recommend classes for people ages 13 and up.
They provide all the materials and give painting tips throughout the lesson.
