PHOENIX – People across the Valley are looking for ways to show their sun pride as the team continues its run for its first NBA title.
With some fans, thanks to a painter, they are ready to show their team spirit with stylish cars.
“I call it the sunmobile,” said Barb Kish.
Kish, like dozens of others, stood in line on the morning of July 8th to have Mick French paint their cars with Signs of Life.
“I saw it on Facebook and left, of course I have to,” said Kish.
Joe Caples, a Suns fan and car pool driver, says he is eager to show his team spirit.
“I thought it would be a great way to show support and get the fans downtown and just have fun making the Suns where they are,” said Caples.
French usually paints shop fronts, and with the business booming with people looking for anything to do with the sun, he decided to hold the drive-through event.
“I’m busy all year round, but right now my customers are so patient and blaming it all and just trying to run the Sun’s business,” said French.
French will continue to paint the city purple and orange to collect the valley. Another drive-through is due to take place on July 10 near Cyrene and the Loop 202 Santan Freeway. To make an appointment, visit Signs of Life.
