From October 6th to October 20th, Tennants will host the Urban and Contemporary Art Timed Auction benefiting York Food Bank. This timed charity auction is organized by Bombsquad, a York-based non-profit community art organization passionate about street and contemporary art. Bombsquad aims to enrich York’s cultural landscape while raising money for local charities.

Highlights include War Boutique’s 2022 Metropolitan Peace Combat Swimmer Vest (estimate: £1,000-1,200), Jo Peel’s 2012 Cafe Restaurant (estimate: £800-1,000), Dotmaster’s 2018 Supreme Trash (estimate: £800-1,000 £1,000). ) and Rowdy’s Moondile Mercenary in 2015 (estimate: £700-1,100).

The auction is part of Totally Hammered, Bombsquad’s second fundraiser, bringing together artists from the street and contemporary art world to raise much-needed funds for the York Food Bank. In addition to the timed auction, a fundraising event will be held on October 20th at The Crescent Community Venue, York, which will include a live art performance, a DJ and a free raffle prize draw for every ticket purchased.

All works were kindly donated by an impressive list of artists including Sweet Toof, Rowdy, Lushsux, Jimmy Cauty, Al Diaz, Jo Peel, Gavin Turk, Dan Cimmermann, Dot Masters and many more. Bombsquad will also contribute by incorporating artwork from their own collections, including a Banksy.

Bids start at £50 on select lots to provide opportunities for new and experienced collectors alike. All proceeds from this timed auction will be donated to York Food Bank, registered charity 1154149
