Artist Jeannine Savedra will present a demonstration and lecture on “A Painterly Approach to Landscape” on Tuesday, February 22 at 7pm at Redlands Art Association Gallery.

The program is free and open to the public.

Savedra is a studio artist and plein air painter who, according to her website, loves exploring nature.

She received formal art training at the Otis Art Institute, Parsons School of Design, and Cal State Los Angeles, where she received a bachelor’s degree in studio art for drawing and painting. She also received a master’s degree and certification to teach art.

In 1995 she began teaching at the Visual Arts and Design Academy in Pasadena as a studio art teacher and as an art teacher for the South Pasadena High School Summer Arts Program. From 2003 to 2015 she was also a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Mount St. Mary’s University in Los Angeles.

For the past 20 years she has worked as a restoration artist in Pasadena, assisting in the restoration of fine art for private art collectors, art dealers, artists’ estates and museums.

She is now in the art department of the Creative Arts Group in Sierra Madre and teaches in their studio.
