As thousands of visitors come to Grand Rapids to watch the 2021 edition of ArtPrize, you can bid on your favorite pieces in a simultaneous online auction to take home when the event closes in October.
This year ArtPrize has teamed up with the local auction site Miedema Auctioneering to present the artists’ works online while allowing you to bid on the items. The site, ARTPRIZEAUCTION.COM, has nearly 750 lots for sale. And yes, that includes the song “Baby Yoda,” which was stolen earlier this week and later found.
When announcing the partnership, ArtPrize organizers say this will allow art enthusiasts to take ArtPrize pieces home with them in an easy-to-use format:
This year it’s easier than ever to take a piece of ArtPrize home with you. We have teamed up with Miedema Auctioneering to create a new online auction platform. As you walk through ArtPrize, many of the pieces have QR codes on the artist sign so you know they are for sale or you can take a look at them bid.artprizeauction.com/auctions
The auction marks a first for ArtPrize as they have tried to find even more unique ways to directly award artists at this year’s showcase, including this year’s revised voting with the ‘Discover. Scan. Find. Forgive.‘ Topic.
Bidders are advised that all items should be removed by THURSDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2021 at the latest. This gives the buyer four (4) business days after the auction / sale to arrange for removal.
Item winners must arrange with Pak Mail Store for item pickup or delivery. You can find more information about the removal and shipping options here: bid.artprizeauction.com/covid19
